San Francisco, CA – July 23, 2010 – Epiphyte Records is set to release the highly-anticipated TestPressSF.03 Benefit for Haiti compilation this week. The third in a continuing series showcasing the budding talents of upcoming San Francisco electronic music producers, TestPressSF.03 is also a collection of the best tunes submitted to the Test Press track audition events of 2009.

While every TestPressSF release is seen as a window into the future of SF’s electronic music scene, this one holds special meaning to the Epiphyte Records and Test Press teams.

“It was one of those days where everything stops,” says Joel St. Julien, member of featured TestPressSF.03 artists Ellul, about the moment he heard of the January 2010 Haiti earthquake.  As a native-born Haitian with deep ties to the island, Joel and his band released Ellul’s “Debris” EP immediately following the tragedy as a fundraiser for the Partners with Haiti Earthquake Relief Fund.

On Wednesday December 9th, Pyramind Studios sponsors the annual Silicon Valley Rocks Benefit at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco.

Silicon Valley Rocks brings together the Valley’s tech community – from VC’s and entrepreneurs to bloggers and software developers – all to raise money for Music In Schools Today (MuST), a Bay Area non-profit that seeks to rescue music programs from budget cuts.
