The Icon HD Mix Suite

This is Pyramind's most advanced flagship control room and classroom. With a custom designed acoustic architecture, dedicated stereo and 5.1 playback system (the flagship LSR6300 series from JBL), custom designed attached recording booth, 1080p 50” HD LCD monitor, Pro Tools HD 2 (loaded, of course) and Digidesign ICON control surface.

The Icon HD Mix Suite is wired to Pyralab 1 which doubles as a recording room. This room is perfectly suited for live event and concert recordings as well as band video shoots and audio/ video productions.

Pyralab 1

This introductory lab hosts 20 workstations, complete with Intel-based Apple iMacs, M-Audio Axiom 49 keyboards and Digidesign’s Mbox 2 Pros. Each computer hosts all of the tools that belong to Pyramind's minimum gear requirement and more, so students should feel right at home here. Pyralab 1 is wired for both stereo P.A. as well as 5.1 Dolby surround with a 15 foot projection screen.

PyraLab 2

This 200 level lab has 10 workstations equipped with 64-bit iMac Intel-based machines as well as the familiar M-Audio Axiom 49 keyboards and Digidesign’s M-Box 2 Pros. Additionally, these workstations are loaded with extra software from our other partners like Native Instruments, Spectrasonics and WAVES. Wired for stereo and 5.1 playback, this lab has the added unique feature of being able to switch each station to both the speakers and the screen. Often, the instructor will feature a student’s workstation and the student will drive for a portion of the class. This is great for showcasing what to do - and what not to do!





The Vault

Both a 200 - level classroom and lab for Pro Tools Certification instruction and a fully-functional professional studio, the Vault is a highly sought-after studio. Loaded with a Pro Tools HD 3 rig and Control 24 work surface and more plug-ins than necessary, this room gets booked by students and clients - a lot. Wired for both stereo and 5.1 playback with a Genelec 1031 monitoring system, this room simply sounds great. It also includes a dedicated isolation recording booth for both vocal and instrument tracking. There’s no better way to learn than in a high-end environment and this is certainly one of the highest in DAW control rooms.

The Roost

The Roost is a great place to compose, edit and build your mix. The Roost is loaded with a Pro Tools HD 2 rig and a Control 24 work surface. It's an inspiring room for creating music and sound design and simply put - sounds great.
