What is Pod Casting?
Podcasting is a way to broadcast a "radio show" on
the net. The beauty of the Podcast is that listeners aren't constrained
to time.
Podcasts can be downloadedfor your listening pleasure at any time.
The word Podcasting is a combination of the two terms "iPod"
and "Broadcasting." This could be misleading since you
don't need an iPod. Any portable digital audio player will work.
Actually, you don't even need a portable player, just a computer!
And if you don't have a computer...well, you wouldn't be reading
this!
How to Subscribe to the Pyramind PodCast:
Podcasts are different from streaming audio as they are downloadable.
Also, the coolest part of a podcast is that they are RSS feeds
with audio embedded in them. (click what
is an RSS feed for more info.) Once you have subscribed to a podcast, everytime the publisher
updates or broadcasts a new show, it will automatically download.
To do this you need a "podcatching" application. The
most common one for Apple and Windows users is iTunes. Make sure
you've got at least ver. 4.9. Another application such as iPodder works well for both platforms.
In iTunes: Go to to the Advanced Menu on the top menu bar. Click
Subscribe to podcast. Enter this URL:

Users of other podcatchers need to follow their respective applications'
instructions on where to enter the URL of the podcast and enter
the URL above.
