Pyralab 1

This is the larger of Pyramind's two multi-seat labs, hosting 21 workstations complete with Intel-based Apple iMacs, M-Audio Axiom 49 keyboards and Digidesign’s Mbox 2 pros . Each computer hosts the four fundamental applications being taught at Pyramind and a host of plug-ins and additional training tools. The room includes a thirty two input mix desk and is wired for both stereo (2.1 with sub) performances and playback, a 15’ HD projection system and extensive theatrical lighting.

Pyralab 2

This advanced training environment also doubles as a multi-workstation edit suite for Pyramind's production division. It has 11 64-bit iMac Intel-based workstations, plus the familiar M-Audio Axiom 49 keyboards and Avid M-Box 2 Pro's. Additionally, these workstations are loaded with extra software from Pyraminds partners Native Instruments, Spectrasonics and Waves.

Wired for stereo and 5.1 playback, this lab has the added unique feature of being able to link each station to both the speakers and the overheard projection system. Often, the instructor will feature a student's workstation and the student will drive for a portion of the class. This is great for showcasing what to do and what not to do, and creates a unique "cooperate and collaborate" learning environments for students.
