The Icon Mix Suite

Pyramind's flagship control room, this HD studio was custom designed by Matt Donner and Cameron Sharp. With a dedicated stereo and 5.1 playback system (the flagship LSR6300 series from JBL), custom designed attached recording booth (excellent for small ensemble or voice recording), 1080p 50” full HD plasma monitor, Pro Tools HD rig (loaded, of course), multitude of analog pre-amps (Universal Audio, Millennia, Avalon and more!) and Digidesign ICON Control surface, this is as good as it gets. It is wired to Pyralab 1 which doubles as a recording room so this room is perfectly suited for live band recordings, large ensembles, video shoots and audio/ video post production.

The Vault

The Vault is both an advanced-level classroom for Pro Tools Certification, and also a highly sought-after professional mix and mastering room. Loaded with a Pro Tools HD rig, Control 24 work surface, and more plug-ins than necessary, this room gets booked by both students and clients - a lot. It's hard to understate the advantages of learning in a real control room, as opposed to a sterile, artificial classroom. Wired for both stereo and 5.1 playback with Genelec monitoring system, this room simply sounds great. There's no better way to learn or produce than in a high-end environment doing actual production work.
