Pop Music Mentors
The sound of Pop music has changed radically over the decades. What we hear on the radio today is a far cry from Pop of the 70s and 80s. With electronic productions dominating the radio airwaves, today's Pop music is heavily influenced by EDM, R&B, and Hip Hop.
Today's Pop producers need to have a firm grasp on song structure and arrangement, which are key components to hit-driven music creation. Music theory knowledge, experience writing catchy melodies and the ability to work well with a vocalist are also skills that a strong Pop producer has in their arsenal.
Studying the productions of some of the all-time greats and current chart toppers, such Quincy Jones and Max Martin, respectively, will give you insight into what makes a hit. Our mentors will help you hone your music and prepare for the big time.
