Trap music has its roots firmly planted in the dirty south hip hop movement of the 90s, where the term Trap was born. Today, it typically refers more to the electronic music sub-genre. Stylistic traits include syncopated and frantic hi-hats, heavy 808s, harsh grinding synths and heavy use of hip hop vocals and vocal samples.
Pioneering artists of the sound include RL Grime, Flosstradamus, Keys N Krates, Baauer, and Zomboy, some venturing from their dubstep or future bass roots to embrace the Trap genre.
Our Trap tutors and mentors can help you achieve that sound you hear in your head, but are having trouble getting out of your speakers. This group of seasoned professionals can help you with sound design, drum sounds and programming, vocal sample ideas and more.
