Josh Weatherspoon, aka Josh Spoon, is an Ableton Certified Trainer, multi-instrumentalist, producer  and live performer who keeps close to his hip hop roots while touching on different genres in electronic music. Josh’s music can be heard on the Transworld Snowboarding movie, “The Nation” as well as on comedian Barry Rothbart’s album “Streets of Fire”. 

As an educator Josh has written tutorials for various music production blogs, held workshops and developed music production school curriculum. He enjoys teaching private lessons and helping musicians get the exact instruction they need whether it be sampling, workflow, hacks or Push. Josh holds a wealth of knowledge to help find solutions for students, whether it be a Max for Live, VST, iOS or hardware. He also has relationships with various companies and is often sought after for sound design, beta testing demos and more.

As a live show programmer, Josh has helped artists and churches with events as well as national and world tours. His clients include Little Boots, ZZ Ward and superstar Giorgio Moroder.

Josh is currently working on his new monthly performance night called SAMPLEnHOLD, an event for boundary-pushing performance artists, where he is a resident.
